Which cookies we use

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Below is every cookie and every piece of data this site saves in your browser, what it is for and how long it lasts. We use no others.

Technical cookies

They make the site work and need no consent. The user-locale cookie remembers the language you picked, for up to one year. The nuxt-color-mode entry in your browser storage (localStorage) remembers the light or dark theme until you delete it. They do not follow you to other sites.

Your choice cookie

The yoursimplesite_consent cookie remembers what you chose for statistics and replay, for 180 days (about six months), so we do not ask again on every visit. It holds only the two answers, a version number and the date of the choice. It exists to respect your choice, so it needs no consent.

Visit statistics

If you agree, CloseYourIt counts the pages visited and measures how fast the site is. Statistics use no cookies or browser storage and never identify you. The data stays on European servers. If you refuse, we measure nothing.

Session replay

Replay is a separate choice from statistics: you can accept one and refuse the other. If you allow it, CloseYourIt records how you use the pages (movements, clicks, scrolling) to help us find problems. All page text and all form fields are masked: they cannot be read in the recording. To link the parts of the same visit it saves a random code in two places: the cyi_replay cookie, deleted when you close the browser, and the cyi_replay entry in session storage (sessionStorage), cleared when you close the tab. If you refuse or withdraw replay, recording stops and we delete both.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time with the button below: it reopens the preferences panel. The new choice replaces the old one. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings: on your next visit we ask again.
